"...for anyone thinking of signing up for this race….you may very well never find such high quality of organization, including the volunteers and the exchanges, at any race in the world."  Drew Roberts for the Run Oregon website on The Elkhorn Relay

THE ELKHORN RELAY:

This 106 mile race starts at Hilgard State Park just a few miles outside La Grande in Eastern Oregon and goes up through the Elkhorn Wilderness up near the summit at Anthony Lakes Ski Resort.  Beautiful vistas combine with colossal climbs to make this 1 - 6 person relay something you'll never forget.

Even though this a relatively young relay (circa 2015), it is quickly gaining a reputation that rivals the famous Hood to Coast Relay because of it's amazing volunteers and aid stations, epic scenery, and relaxed and uncrowded feel.
